Delhi Capitals take on Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad

Having secured five wins in our last six matches, the Delhi Capitals are eager to add another two points to the tally as we face the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium on what promises to be a scorching Saturday afternoon clash.

In our previous game against the Rajasthan Royals, just as the match appeared to be slipping away, Mitchell Starc came to the rescue with two staggering overs at the death. His brilliance propelled the match into a Super Over, where KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs held their nerve to guide us to a memorable victory.

It was a tricky wicket to bat on in Delhi last time, but some delightful cameos from skipper Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs took us to 188/5 in 20 overs. Half-centuries from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana posed a considerable challenge, but we mounted a strong comeback in the latter stages to secure yet another victory.

Among our players, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav are approaching major IPL milestones heading into the next contest against the Gujarat Titans. Rahul, who just turned 33, is 79 runs short of 5,000 runs in the tournament and would be the second fastest (by innings) to achieve it.

Kuldeep Yadav, meanwhile, has 98 IPL wickets. He has been in sensational form this edition and is our leading wicket-taker (11 wickets). Starc is not far behind with 10 wickets, while Vipraj Nigam has seven scalps to his name.

In the previous edition, we faced Gujarat Titans twice in one week and emerged victorious on both occasions. First up in Ahmedabad, we bowled them out for only 89 runs and chased the target in under nine overs. In the home fixture, we scored 224 runs batting first and managed to pick up a four-run win in a pulsating contest.

The fixture proved to be a thrilling contest last season, and with both teams performing exceptionally in 2025, another high-quality encounter can be anticipated in Ahmedabad.
