Riding high on a dream start to the TATA IPL 2025, the Delhi Capitals are set to face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium this Thursday, 10 April, looking to extend their unbeaten streak.
Last Saturday’s impressive win over Chennai Super Kings marked our third consecutive victory. KL Rahul led the charge with the bat, scoring a crucial 77 — his first TATA IPL fifty in DC colours.
Defending a total of 183, our bowlers delivered a clinical performance. Vipraj Nigam stood out with figures of 2/27 from his four overs, while Mitchell Starc, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mukesh Kumar chipped in with a wicket each to keep CSK well short of the target.
Across these three matches, different players have risen to the occasion — whether it was Ashutosh Sharma’s heroics against LSG, Starc’s five-wicket haul versus SRH, or Tristan Stubbs’ consistent finishes. The team has been firing on all fronts, and the momentum is strong.
Captain Axar Patel expressed his satisfaction with the way different players have stepped up, highlighting the positive impact it has had on the overall team balance.. “Everyone contributed, the team balance looks good. Feels good as a captain to win three out of three. The chat in the team meeting is about making an impact which is very important,” he said after our last match’s win.
Confidence is high in the dressing room, and the team is ready to take the initiative right from the first ball.
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru too, are in top form, having won three out of their four games. With both teams playing exceptional cricket, a blockbuster encounter awaits at the iconic Chinnaswamy.
