Bengaluru welcomed us for the second leg of WPL 2025, as we geared up to take on the UP Warriorz once again—just three days after our last face-off. With momentum on our side, we were ready to make it two in a row.

After putting the opposition into bat, it didn’t take long for Marizanne Kapp to strike. Just two overs in, she gave us our first breakthrough, setting the tone for our bowling attack.

Arundhati Reddy joined the party soon after, firing on all cylinders and picking up two crucial wickets early on. We had them on the back foot, and things seemed to be going exactly as planned.

But cricket is a game of twists, and tonight was no different. Chinelle Henry turned the tide with a storming knock, shifting the momentum and taking UP Warriorz to a challenging total of 177.

Jess Jonassen was the star with the ball, delivering a masterclass in control and execution, finishing with an incredible four-wicket haul. Her efforts ensured we stayed in the contest despite the late onslaught.

Before heading out to bat, the two standout performers of the first innings shared a candid moment, soaking in the high-intensity battle we were in the middle of

The chase got off to a shaky start, but then came a Jemi-licious masterclass! Jemimah Rodrigues was at her absolute best, smashing a brilliant 56 off just 35 balls to keep us in the hunt. Every boundary had us believing, every shot was a reminder of why she’s one of the finest.

But as Jemi departed, the ask became steeper. Despite our best efforts, the required rate kept climbing, and in the end, we fell short by 33 runs.
